Chapter one The journey
Twenty dollars, and no English.
In 1976, Jacob "Jay" Adoni, a 17 year old from Israel, arrived in America with nothing more than his ambition and a twenty dollar bill.

1976
The arrival
He hardly spoke English. What he had was the will to work hard, real hard.
The book that later profiled him would call his rise something that seems more like a story about the immigrants of a century ago.

Odd jobs first.
Before he owned a company, he worked the jobs nobody writes about.
